Today I took a break from my beloved pinterest and flipped through files of inspiration taken from my favorite mags.. I found something interesting..

I found page after page of kitchen and dining rooms that have the chairs in them I just bought from Restoration Hardware!

These are all rooms that I've sort of filed to the back of my mind as favorites, but didn't notice the chairs until now..

So funny.. but made me so happy, and happy in my decision to pick those chairs! I've had people worried that they aren't comfortable.. but they are.. I quite love them :) ( and they're a great price!! )

I'm crushing on anything white, white washed, bleached, linen.. it's so my new crush and style and you can bet I'm working on getting my whole home to fit into this aesthetic!

I became my own client..

I've been humming and hawing about our master bedroom for oh..4 years. You can probably tell I'm on a little kick to finally get this house how I want it. So project to project and payday to payday it's getting done. The budget isn't big, but if I continue to be smart about choices, it's one or two items that I'm adding to each space that are finishing it! I thought I would do up my own design board with pieces that I have in our room, and then shop for pieces to add in. Two boards later, I'm back to the Canadian House & Home  living room shot I showed you a few days ago. One new Schumacher Chenonceau pillow in Charcoal and I love it. Simple as that. Oh and now I'm light shopping...I have just the piece in mind. Stay tuned!

before + after, new updates to my girlies rooms..

You can imagine how excited my girls were.. 4 years after we moved into this house, their rooms FINALLY got painted. I couldn't commit before..bad Mom I know. Their rooms were always spaces with items that were pulled together with whatever was around, not intended specifically for their space.

I'm happy to say that they are thrilled and so am I..they had fun being involved picking out pillows and paint colors! We didn't do a huge change, but a few new key items sure made a big difference!

You can see above the division in color.. that's on purpose but unfinished. I'm deciding how I want to finish the break.. trim, or maybe a third paint color. The top is the original wall color and I love the two together!
