I never did show you our master in the whole house re design.. it's the one space where the furniture is getting dated, but I don't feel like putting the money into it to change it yet..so we work with what we have :)

Our bedding is my favorite, there are all kinds of layers on here. I'm pretty sure I sigh every night when I get into bed, I love cozy and warm!

For some reason when thinking about the back entry at the new house, well, it's not the back entry, it will be from the garage to the 'back' entry and laundry room, in my mind I've dubbed it the boot room. Yes, I will probably be the only one in the house that calls it this, but whatever ;) ANYWAY.. we could have our builder put a locker / bench system in but for big $$..so I'd like to do something simple with the space, keeping it open and accessible- these are inspiring me today, x

details details // a gorgeous NY e design

Can you say exhausted?! Whew. That was me.. yesterday. After our interior selections meeting. I hardly had energy to change into comfy clothes ;) Ok, it wasn't that bad but close.. details are shaping up! Hubs says I'm obsessed.. I call it interested, ha! There are a few things still to be determined and one of those is kitchen hardware. Picky picky me couldn't commit yesterday until I did a little research, and here's what I found- I LOVE that the uppers in the kitchen have the knob just perfectly below center, very cool. I'm in on that for sure-

and this- notice the lower drawers.. top two are knobs, bottom is a handle. Also fits the kitchen layout..I'm in!-

Lovely client Lia from New York sent me some gorgeous pictures of her living room we worked together on through e design. I may be a little biased ;) but this room is a gorgeous mix of pieces she had and new details. It's so her.. love that!

in other very sad news I have given up bread. Gluten, damn you!

In past months there comes a time in the day where I look oh 4 months pregnant. Adorable stage if you're pregnant, absolutely embarrassing if you're not. I'm not. Wheat belly. If you've been reading for a while you know I was suffering from awful daily migraines a few years ago. I had them pretty much under control until a few months ago they came back with a vengeance. And then there was the tummy. I've given up pop, dairy, and now bread. I lived on bread. Breakfast, lunch and supper. Oh and toast before bed.

SO UNHAPPY. But our youngest is gfee, so we've now all adopted the lifestyle. After a week the headaches were gone and my tummy is normal. So long story short.. gluten does yucky things to us, and it hasn't killed me eating gfree. OH! and as soon as I stopped I felt less agitated, I was constantly agitated. So, it's all for good :)

flip flop flip flop flip flop

If you follow me on pinterest you were probably thinking to yourself today " enough with the damn lights already!"  I was saying it to myself. And not so nicely. No lie, it took me all day to decide on these lights. Initially I wanted gold, then bronze, oh wait but I love polished chrome.. oh good heavens you can only imagine my mind. That's when I reminded myself of the inspiration that I love..shown below. Pale, white and a little bit of silver. LITTLE BIT. So, out of nowhere comes nickel fixtures and I'm as happy as a clam. Here's what I'm thinking for a few of the rooms- you like? Does it suit me? I'm thinking so, I hope you do too!  ;)

fall favorites-

I think I've found my new favorite line.. Vince. Ooh la like.. my new car coat is absolute perfection for me, I love a cozy sweater!

I've been admiring the smoking slipper, but honestly didn't think I could pull them off- well these proved me wrong when they arrived today. So comfy and the shape is actually really flattering. I thought they might make my size 9 feet look even bigger ;)

So that got me thinking about the bootie trend.. I don't do heels unless it's an event ha! But these will fit nicely into my casual + comfy daily attire. Splendid Toronto Wrap Strap Booties

Meet RD SHADY. Here's how they work..

Take any lamp base that you love or has been sitting in the decor dungeon of your basement ;) ( Oh wait! Maybe that's just me?! ha ) I used my favorite new weathered wood lamp-

took of the entire harp.. that's right, these guys come with the lamp shade you need too.. then you add the shadie right over top! It zips on!

very cool. Very sleek and well fitting-

So I went and did something really smart. I never wear jeans. Don't know why. I buy them, and then they sit and sit and sit.. I finally figured out what bugged me. They were too long- I've officially found my desired 'ankle' length, and went and took them to my seamstress.. humph, I'm pretty pleased with myself :)

I love random, and this is so random..

Yesterday after Thanksgiving dinner we were doing a little reminiscing, and all of a sudden today on my pinterest feed were these 3 images that also took me back in time..

 Hubs played hockey and we spent two seasons in Columbia SC. Driving from Alberta to South Carolina is a 40 hour trek by car (OMG right?!) anyway.. one of my favorite parts of the drive was through Kentucky..and all of these three images that popped up via pinterest took me back to my favorite part of that drive... random, I know. I warned you!
